Run training like clockwork.
Know which warden on duty today isn't certified, before an audit or an emergency finds out. Choose the courses each role needs, run the events, and keep every certificate current, in one place.
Seeing who is certified
Know which warden on duty today isn't certified
Emredi knows who is rostered as a warden on which floor today. So it flags the warden on duty without a current certificate, not just "someone somewhere is uncertified".
- Not certified for their assignmentA warden rostered today without a current certificate for their role shows up straight away, site by site.
- The certification matrixEvery warden against every course their roles require: certified, expiring, expired or missing. Filter by site, role and status, export to CSV, and see how long each course's certificate lasts.
- Needs attention, on the dashboardWardens not certified for their assignment, certificates expiring, certificates to approve, enrolment requests, training in the next 30 days and events with waitlists. Each number opens the list behind it.
- Reports that answer the auditA Training Needs report (who needs which course), a Training Completion report and the warden roster's compliance status, each with a CSV.
Your course library
Set how long each course lasts once. Every expiry date follows.
One training library for your organisation, with the courses each warden role requires.
- One training libraryEvery course with its description, duration, prerequisites and a web link, active or retired. Your own courses sit beside those of any training provider you link, which arrive ready to use and stay up to date.
- Courses required by roleChoose which courses each warden role needs, from Chief Warden to Floor Warden and the rest of your roles. Everyone holding the role is measured against that list.
- Certificate valid forEach course says how long its certificate lasts: 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, 3 years, any number of months, or no end date. A provider's course carries the provider's period.
- A role can ask for a course more oftenThe course is valid for 2 years, but your Chief Wardens refresh it every 12 months. Where a person's roles differ, the shortest period wins.
Training events
Draft the event from the gap, with the right wardens already invited
Wardens register themselves, attendance is a tick, and one step records certificates for everyone who attended.
- Start an event from the gapDraft a training event straight from the certification matrix, the Training Needs report or the home page, with the wardens who need the course already invited.
- Plan and run training eventsDate and time in the site's own time zone, location, trainer, instructions, cost, minimum and maximum numbers, and the courses it covers. List or calendar view, and a calendar file for your own diary.
- RegistrationsConfirmed, waitlisted or withdrawn. Add attendees by role, assignment or certification; wardens are emailed when their registration changes; export to CSV. Cancel an event and every registrant is emailed.
- Wardens register themselvesFrom their own profile, for open events at their site. They join the waitlist, an admin confirms, and they can withdraw the same way.
- Attendance, then certificates in one stepTick attendance on the day, then record certificates for everyone who attended at once, with the certificate file attached once for the whole group.
- Event documentsJoining instructions and course notes, linked from your document library.
Certificates and the record
A record you can stand behind
Only approved certificates count, and every expiry date fills itself in from the course.
- Wardens upload their own certificatesPDF, Word or a photo, against the course. An admin approves it or returns it with a reason, and the warden is emailed either way.
- Expiry dates fill themselves inWhen a certificate is uploaded or recorded, its expiry date comes from the course, or the role if it asks more often, with the reason shown: "Valid 12 months for Chief Warden". It can still be changed by hand.
- Only approved certificates countA certificate waiting for approval, or returned, never shows a warden as certified.
- One meaning of expiringExpiring means within 30 days, and the matrix, the roster, the dashboard and the warden's card all count it the same way.
- Dates that make senseAn expiry date before the start date is refused, wherever a certificate is entered.
- Every warden's training historyCurrent certificates and the full history, on the warden's profile and in the admin portal.
- Enrolment by requestA person asks for a warden role from their profile. Once an admin approves, the role's required courses appear on their certificate list.
Working with a training provider
Link your training provider, site by site
Give your provider Training access for the sites you choose. Their courses appear in your library, ready to require of your wardens, and they see your training position: certified positions, lapsing certificates, who needs training and upcoming events. Switch it off whenever you like.
- Your provider runs the event in EmrediYour provider schedules a training event at your site, for their courses or yours, and your admin approves it before any warden is invited. They manage the roster and capacity, with a waitlist when it fills.
- Attendance and certificates on the dayYour provider takes attendance from a tick list or a QR sign-in and marks competency. A competent warden's certificate is recorded with the course's validity; you are told and can return any result.
On the roadmap
Where training goes next
In development. We will tell customers as each one arrives.
- Training remindersSwitched on per organisation, with the timing you choose (for example 60, 30 and 7 days before expiry, and after). Wardens will get the reminder in their daily Emredi email, and admins a weekly summary, including whether anyone on duty is affected.
- Certificates from your providerA record-of-training certificate emailed to the warden and verifiable online by number. For accredited courses, an export so your provider's RTO can issue the Statement of Attainment.
- Transcripts and an audit exportA training transcript for each person and an audit export for each building, with the full history of every certificate.
- Online coursesCourses delivered in Emredi, with video, documents and a quiz with a pass mark. Completing one will record the certificate.
Why teams run training on Emredi
No spreadsheet chasing
Wardens register themselves, attendance is a tick, and one step records certificates for everyone who attended. The spreadsheet retires.
Certificates never lapse quietly
Expiring certificates show on the matrix, the roster and the dashboard ahead of time, and you can draft the renewal event straight from the gap.
Drills that prove themselves
Practice runs through the real system and documents itself, evidence and rehearsal in one.
Common questions
Does Emredi provide the courses my wardens need?
You choose the courses each warden role needs, from your own library or from a training provider you link, whose courses arrive ready to use. Emredi then shows who is certified for their role.
Is Training included in the Emredi Suite?
Yes. Training is part of the Emredi Suite, alongside Wardens and the full edition of Respond, licensed by the size of your warden team. It is not part of the free edition of Respond. See the Suite.
Can I track warden training and certifications?
Yes. Emredi records every warden's training history and certificates with expiry dates, and flags certificates that are expiring before they lapse, so you always have current proof of certification.
Can I schedule and run training events in Emredi?
Yes. Set up training events with dates and courses, let wardens register themselves from their profile, record attendance, then record everyone's certificates from the attendee list in one step.
What happens when a certificate is about to expire?
Emredi flags it ahead of time on the matrix, the roster and the dashboard, and you can draft the renewal event straight from the matrix, with those wardens invited.
How long is a certificate valid?
As long as the course says: 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, 3 years, any number of months, or no end date. A role can ask for a course more often, and where a warden's roles differ the shortest period wins.
What happens if a warden leaves or changes role?
Reassign roles in the admin portal and coverage updates immediately, so you don't end up with an area left without a trained warden.
How do I know I have enough trained wardens for my building?
The admin portal shows warden coverage across your sites and roles, and flags any warden on duty without a current certificate, so gaps are visible before they become a compliance problem.
Do evacuation drills count towards the record?
Yes. Drills run through the Emredi Respond app record themselves: who reported in, which floors were cleared and how long it took. The dashboard flags any building not drilled in the last six months, and with Compliance you attach the drill's record as evidence for your drill requirement.
